Forest Therapy, also known as “Shinrin-yoku,” refers to the practice of spending time in natural areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness and happiness. As the group walks the Garden and immerses in nature, a certified guide will offer a series of guided invitations to assist you in finding your own authentic way of interacting with the land and will teach you to make room for listening, for quiet and accepting presence, and for inquiry through all eight of the sensory modes we possess. The March 6 session will be instructed by Jason Ellis and the March 23 session will be instructed by Jackie Kuang; both instructors are certified forest bathing guides with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT).
